Earth Hour: TNB catat kejatuhan guna tenaga

KUALA LUMPUR 30 Mac - Tenaga Nasional Bhd. (TNB) hari ini berkata, ia menerima kenyataan bahawa kempen Earth Hour bertujuan baik walaupun penggunaan tenaga elektrik jatuh sebanyak 550 megawatt (mw), bersamaan dengan 14 juta mentol kalimantang yang berkuasa 40watt setiap satu.

"Sementara penurunan kecil dalam permintaan akan menyebabkan sedikit kekurangan dalam hasil, kami menerima kenyataan bahawa kempen itu mempunyai tujuan yang baik," kata Presiden dan Ketua Pegawai Eksekutifnya, Datuk Seri Che Khalib Mohamad Noh dalam satu kenyataan di sini hari ini.

Katanya, semasa tempoh sejam inisiatif pemeliharaan tenaga (8.30 malam hingga 9.30 malam) Sabtu lepas, kakitangan TNB sentiasa berwaspada terhadap sebarang masalah operasi.

"Semuanya berjalan lancar dan kami mampu memberikan reaksi kepada permintaan yang sedikit rendah tanpa menimbulkan gangguan dalam operasi." katanya.

Katanya, TNB tidak menyangka dengan sokongan dan penghargaan yang ditunjukkan oleh kebanyakan pelanggan mereka berhubung kempen yang disertai oleh masyarakat di seluruh dunia.

"Permintaan memuncak begitu cepat pada pukul 9.30 malam mengikut pola permintaan yang biasa pada petang Sabtu," katanya. - BERNAMA

Earth Hour began in Sydney in 2007, when 2.2 million homes and businesses switched off their lights for one hour.

In 2008 the message had grown into a global sustainability movement, with 50 million people switching off their lights.

In 2009, Earth Hour is being taken to the next level, with the goal of 1 billion people switching off their lights as part of a global vote. Unlike any election in history, it is not about what country you’re from, but instead, what planet you’re from.

VOTE EARTH is a global call to action for every individual, every business, and every community. A call to stand up and take control over the future of our planet. Over 74 countries and territories have pledged their support to VOTE EARTH during Earth Hour 2009, and this number is growing everyday.

Khairy won !! WTF happened Man !!

Khairy actually won, what the hell happened? This is bad. People will lose faith in UMNO. Najib and Muhyiddin have lots of things to do now to win the next general election.

It would be much easier for them if Khairy lost but too bad since he actually won.

I Got A New HOT Girl

I think you guys know the feeling of having the same girl for too long. Boring right??

Imagine when u are married to a woman and going to live and grow old with the same woman. That's really sucks.

Man will always be man, they can't live with only one woman in their life. No matter how sincere or honest a man is, they will still want to have another girl in their life.

Well.. I confess that I can't live with only one girl too. You can call me a dishonest guy or whatsoever you want to call me, I just want more of them. Many months back I told my wife that I need someone else in my life ( yes I'm married, too bad for my girl's readers ), what surprised me was that she agreed that I can have someone else beside her on a condition that I must take good care of both of them ( very sporting wife ). I just can't be happier to hear that.

After months of waiting for a girl to appear in my life, apparently two days ago my wish came true. Here's my new HOT girl, Irdina Jasmine

My American Idols

The new season of American Idol had just started. Amongst the 13 contestants I have 3 of them as my favourites. In fact they are my idols at this stage of the competition. Here they are...


Adam Lambert. First of all I am NOT gay. Heard that he's a gay and I'm totally fine about it. I just think that he can really sing after he sang the Micheal Jackson song. In fact I think he's going to go all the way till the end on American Idol.

My second idol ....



Alexis Grace is my idol because she can sing ( not as good as Adam ) and the best part is she just damn F@#king cute ! She doesn't have to sing good to be my idol, she just got to be a beauty as she is now to be everyone's idol.

Anoop the Indian Guy. Well.. I am just surprised to see an Indian guy in American Idol and not in a yellow cab driving people around in the streets of New York. Lolz... anyway you deserved a credit Anoop just be able to get into the American Idol.
